Your hair is falling out. You don't know why, and you don't know what to do about it. You have tried all the methods on the internet that claim they will help your hair grow back, but nothing is working. After all else fails, you make the step and decide it is time to try wigs.

This is a narrative I find all too familiar in the "wig world". Wearing wigs and toppers can be extremely intimidating, however, it might be the best decision you ever make. Let's review three reasons why wigs do more than just give you hair.
1. Wigs Are Time-Savers
When going through hair loss, we find ourselves spending a significant amount of time perfecting our hair before leaving the house. Every strand must be in it's specific spot, or else you will be revealing bald spots. I personally get caught up in the bathroom when I try to do a cute hairstyle on Pinterest, then realize 30 minutes later that it is simply not possible due to my fine, thin hair.
Wigs and toppers are quick and easy to put on in the morning. It takes about 15 seconds to get it on your head. Touching up a style takes 5 minutes, and just like that, you are ready to go! My hour long morning hair session just got cut down to 5 minutes. Imagine what you can do with an extra 55 minutes in the day!
2. Wigs Reduce Stress
Remember that bald spot we spent hours trying to hide? Now that we have put our wig on in 5 minutes, we don't have to worry about that spot anymore! Wigs and toppers are designed to cover our hair imperfections, while leaving us with a full head of beautiful hair. Think of it like makeup. When the dark circles under my eyes make an appearance, I use concealer to cover it up. I am then able to go about my day not worrying if I look like I only got 4 hours of sleep the night before. Now apply this idea to your hair. That bald spot can be covered up with a wig, and you get to enjoy your day without worrying if the wind is going to blow your perfectly placed hair to the wrong spot.
3. Wigs Provide Confidence
Hair is important to people, especially us women. We naturally desire to look presentable. We do our hair, get our nails done, put on makeup, use all the creams and serums to prevent the wrinkles. We put all this effort into our appearance because often times when we look good, we feel good. There are actual psychological studies about this, proving that our health and beauty are connected.
Hair is one of the biggest points of insecurity for many women. I have personally seen the confidence change the second a wig or topper is put on. It is amazing how much better we feel about ourselves when out hair looks good. I tell clients all the time, its not about the hair on your head, its about the smile that the hair brings.
